Each year’s Tend Planner features artwork and writing from across Aotearoa.

Submit your work

We put out a call for submissions for each edition in April of the year before. Submissions typically close in early May.

We pay (usually $100NZD) for the rights to use your work.

We are not accepting submissions at this time.

In general, we look for writing, photography, line drawing, prints or other artwork.
All work needs to be in black and white or greyscale and will be printed on ivory paper.
Artwork must be a minimum of 300 DPI on a B5 page, (147mm wide and 215mm high).
Writing works out to be approximately 30 lines (again, to fit on a B5 page).
We will consider any work but are most interested in themes relating to nature, seasons, growth, or the creative process.
